Methane Super Emitter Program Update
Future implementation of the Methane Super Emitter Program is extended until January 22, 2027, per the 2025 Interim Final Rule (pdf) titled “Extension of Deadlines in Standards of Performance for New, Reconstructed, and Modified Sources and Emissions Guidelines for Existing Sources: Oil and Natural Gas Sector Climate Review Final Rule” (90 FR 35966, July 31, 2025).
